Iberoamericana / Vervuert, academic bookseller and publisher, was
founded in Frankfurt in 1975 and has, since 1996, a subsidiary in Madrid.
We publish books and journals dealing with Latin America, Spain and Portugal.

Our programme covers various centuries: starting from the series
Medievalia Hispánica and
Biblioteca Áurea Hispánica,
to more recent, contemporary studies on Latin America:
Nexos y diferencias. The series
Ars Iberica comprises studies about Iberian and Ibero-American
art history from early times until today.
The interdisciplinary journal IBEROAMERICANA.
América Latina - España - Portugal. Ensayos sobre letras,
historia y sociedad. Notas. Reseñas iberoamericanas promotes research into
the literatures, cultures and history of Spain and Latin America.
IBEROAMERICANA is considered a platform for the
scientific and cultural dialogue about the literature, culture and history of
the Iberoamerican regions.
Successor of the journals Iberoamericana, Ibero-Amerikanisches Archiv
and Notas (published until 2000), it encourages a world-wide forum for
scholarly debate.
Since 2002 we publish a linguistic journal entitled
Revista Internacional de Lingüística Iberoamericana
(RILI).

As an academic mail-order bookshop we are able to obtain
any book available from Spain, Portugal and Latin America.
Our regularly printed catalogues - Nuevos libros de
España and Nuevos Libros de América Latina
inform you about new publications and are available
upon request. This website shows on-line versions of these
catalogues.
We also offer a subscription service for any journal published
in the above-mentioned regions. Furthermore, our antiquarian
bookshop offers a fine selection of rare and out-of-print
books.
Our data base is regularly updated and allows you to search
under authors, titles, subject and/or matters.
The subject catalogue can be found in the search
screen. The links give you access to the
database of the Biblioteca Nacional (Spanish National Library)
and the ISBN Libros en venta (Spanish Books in Print). Needless
to say, all books listed in the Spanish Books in Print can
be ordered from us.
